Backend Software Tester (Banking)
- Analyze the functional requirement specifications for performing tests on downloaded report files and prepare test scenarios and cases
- Use IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) as a test management tool
- Conduct the testing on downloaded report files based on the prepared test scenarios
- Conduct apple-to-apple test for downloaded file exported from different test environments
- Schedule and execute AIX shell script jobs and verify application logs.
- Write SQL queries to extract data from reporting database for verification and quality checks
- Identify and log the unexpected defects, and work with respective developers and other functional teams for quick turn-around fix and arrange to conduct the re-test to meet the test schedules
- Provide timely and regular management update to report the test progress
- University graduate preferably with degree in computer science or related discipline
- SQL Query knowledge using Oracle / DB2
- Minimum of 2 years of experiences as a backend software tester or similar role
- Experiences with added advantages:
- Basic AIX/Linux commands
- Microsoft Power BI Report Server
- Good inter-personal and communication skills in both Chinese and English
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
