Middleware and PCF DevOps Engineer
- Support the global internal cloud services including IaaS and CaaS (Kubernetes), API automation framework and PCF (Pivotal Cloud foundry).
- Carry out scheduled changes on the PCF Production and Development foundations, for example deploying new versions of PCF and supporting tooling and health checks.
- Manage day to day requests from application teams such as:
- Responding to and acting on PCF Org memory quota requirement changes.
- Dealing with and resolving Incidents and responding back to application teams on the resolution.
- Dealing with general support requests from application teams regarding application performance or issues.
- Raise and manage change requests for production and development PCF releases and BAU releases (e.g., cert rotations etc.).
- Create, manage, and discuss good learning stories within the PCF Team .
- Attend the daily PCF stand up, the weekly Operations call with vendors and the weekly team retro.
- Setup and run calls with the team when required, to discuss issues or changes that require team wide input.
- Work with users to maximize benefit from the cloud services.
- University graduate or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience of working with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and Concourse (PCF alternatives).
- Good solid Ruby coding skills.
- Understanding of CI tools, such as Fly, s3cli.
- Knowledge of the VSphere infrastructure.
- Previous application development experience.
- Be able to work well within a small team.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Experience of working in a DevOps team together with agile development techniques.
- Experience of using the Datadog monitoring tool (not mandatory).
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and be prepared to work occasionally during out of office hours.
