Database Administrator
- Job descriptions:
- Responsible for database management
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
- Provide preventive system monitoring and maintenance support for database and related IT systems (e.g. database performance fine-tuning, cluster planning, capacity management, backup and recovery strategies, etc.)
- Provide technical update on database technologies to support various IT systems (e.g. Radiology Imaging applications or systems)
- Requirements:
- Higher diploma or above in computer subjects or related disciplines
- At least 6 years or above hands-on IT experience with 3 years or above in database administration;
- Knowledge or experience in Database administration and maintenance (e.g. MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgrepSQL, etc.)
- Radiology Imaging applications or systems support
- Experience in support and administration of Client/server computing, middle-tier and web-based application server.
- Knowledge of project management.
- Familiar with imaging products (e.g. various PACS systems, Mach7 software, etc.) would be an advantage.
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication skills in English and Cantonese
