System Support Engineer (Window / Linux, VMware, 30-35K)
- Provide first-line support for IT systems, applications, and hardware.
- Resolve technical issues related to software, hardware, and network systems.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of software and hardware.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement system updates and enhancements.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate backup and recovery procedures.
- Respond to user inquiries and provide timely solutions to technical problems.
- Train and support end-users in the effective use of software applications and systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- 3+ years’ working experience in system support or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies.
- Knowledge of Backup Tools (Avamar, Veaam).
- Knowledge of Windows Servers, Redhat Linux 7.x 8.x, VMware.
- Knowledge of SolarWinds, MS MDE, Symantec Altiris.
- Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
